This is a two-sided, three "panel" brochure advertising the vent figures and Punch puppets of Jerry Baum. This trifold brochure is a "self-mailer" and was mailed to Col. Bill Boley. The postmark is 1979.

          Jerry Baum was a figure maker (or, as he usually called himself, a "figure macher") who made a limited number of figures over the years. I met him several times... the last time I remember was at the Vent Haven ConVENTion in 1989 or '90. His figures were interesting, if just a tad on the crude side. My main memory the last time I saw him was of the mouths on his figures sticking (some wouldn't move at all). He said it was due to the humidity in Kentucky (Jerry lived in Albuquerque, NM). I'm sure it was.... and apparently kiln-dried wood was unobtainable in New Mexico!

          Not too many of these around.... just like Jerry's figures. In very fine condition with Col. Bill's address hand-written and a short endearment inside. Will be supplied in an archival mylar sleeve with an acid-free backboard.
