          The apparatus has an open area into which the spectator places his wrist. Pieces of carrot are also inserted above and below, through additional holes. Suddenly and dramatically, the performer pushes down on the blade so it cuts the carrot pieces, yet it penetrates the arm!  The blade may be shown under the wrist now where it has apparently penetrated.
