The Chinese Sticks has always been a favorite routine of mine. I believe I've owned just about every type of set made. This imported set is beautifully  made.

          This is a classic item that goes very well with rapid fire humorous patter. In effect, the performer shows two large wooden sticks (14" long by 3/4" diameter). Each stick has got a hole at one end; through this hole is running a string. One end of each string terminates into a plastic bead, while at the other end is fixed a red tassel. Both the sticks are also hollow. At the beginning one string appears to be quite short with the tassel close to the hole. The other string with tassel is long and the tassel hangs down.

          Holding the two sticks together, the performer pulls the "short" string, causing the other string to be pulled towards the hole in the second stick. This back-and-forth business is repeated until the spectators assume that the sticks are connected at the rear, with the string running all the way down through each stick. The sticks are now completely separated and yet still, the performer repeats the above string-pulling business several times, thoroughly amazing the audience!

          This classic of magic has been beautifully crafted just like the more expensive models. They even handle the same as some of the more expensive models. These sticks look great either in a parlor situation or on stage. Again, the sticks measure 14" in length by 3/4" diameter.  They are stained a lovely reddish/orange wood tone and for the money, simply cannot be beat!
