The Pom-Pom Prayer Stick was invented by Louis Histed and published in his book The Magic of Louis S. Histed. The effect was made famous and very popular by the late Ali Bongo of Great Britain. It is a marvelously ingenious puzzle that makes for a baffling magic trick!

          You display a 10-1/2" tube with a piece of cord passing thru each end. Different colored, fluffy Pom Poms are attached to each end of the cords. Using the pom poms, the pieces of cord are pulled back and forth thru the ends of the tube to prove the cords are unconnected. But suddenly, things get interesting! When the cord on one end is pulled, the cord on the opposite end goes up! From that point on on, whichever pom pom the performer pulls becomes a long cord, apparently proving that all of the ends re connected somehow!

          The magician repeatedly pulls on the ends on different combinations, making the situation funnier and funnier...not to mention more and more baffling! Finally comes the amazing and stunning finale'... All of a sudden, the cords on each end become long simultaneously, at which point you pull the tube apart to show there is no connection whatsoever between the cords!

        You may now re-assemble the two halves, and just to show the audience that you have a miracle in your hands, you once again pull the cords as before, and take a well deserved bow.

        This is always gets a great reaction, yet it is self contained and easy to do. The tube is beautifully manufactured and works perfectly. Measures approximately 10-1/2" in length, and is beautifully finished in a deep red prismatic finish with silver ends. Perfect for parlor and platform performances, although it will play equally well from closeup to the largest stage!
