This is the 1955 Stein reprint of Ganthony's classic vent opus, "Practical Ventriloquism."

          It was reprinted apparently using the original plates from the first American edition as used by the Henneberry Company in their 1952 edition.

          Ganthony was a Victorian-era entertainer who was quite well known in Great Britain. He was a society entertainer and was well-qualified to write a book on ventriloquism. This volume pretty much covers it all...from speech production to mastering lip movement to operating the ventriloquial figure. Of special interest is the section on various types of vent novelties. There's at least one idea in there that I think would be a winner today!

          124pp, approximately 5-1/4" x 7-3/4" with glossy softcover. This copy is nice and tight. Very Fine+ condition (foxing on front and back covers, with a price written in ink at top of front cover.)!

          Comes in an archival mylar sleeve with acid-free backboard.
