This is the first soft cover trade edition of Winchell's classic 1954 text. It's the one with the classic green and purple cover! A lot of the older pro vents working today started with this book. Great instructions on vent technique, detailed instructions on building a figure, how to build the character of the puppet, costuming, acts, etc. Details some really GREAT stuff often ignored in other books on vent!

This copy is boldly autographed in marker on the very first page. No inscription... it reads simply, "Paul Winchell".

This book came directly from long-term storage in Paul Winchell's own garage!

190pp, 5" x 7-1/2" with stiff card wrap. This copy is nice and tight. It's hard to see in the photo, but there is a light diagonal crease on the front cover...otherwise VERY FINE + condition.

Comes in an archival mylar sleeve with acid-free backboard.
