"Double Talk - The Ventriloquist's Guide" was the very FIRST magazine published for ventriloquists. The brainchild of figuremaker Revello Petee, he published and edited the magazine for two short years...from 1937 into 1939. The initial issues were mimeographed on cheap paper...the second volume was in a smaller format and offset printed on glossy stock.
This wonderful issue of Double Talk features an excellent article, "On the Fundamentals of the Ventriloquial Voice" by John "Ellwood" Christine, an article by Ralph DeShong, columns by George McAthy, Richard Haldane from Canada and "The Masked Ventriloquist."
Lots of GREAT reading in this one! 12pp, 8-1/2" x 11" magazine. This RARE magazine is in VERY FINE condition. The paper is highly acidic and has browned with age and is brittle...but it is ALL there with very little chipping. Comes in an archival mylar sleeve with acid-free backboard.
